There's been breaking news fans of facial hair worldwide: Alex Trebek has decided to let loose and Sorority (2025)free the beard in time for the start of the 2018-2019 Jeopardy!season.

The normally clean-shavengame show host sported a new look during the season 35 premiere on Monday night, much to the delight of fans. The show posted an official beard announcement on Instagram, and invited commenters to share their thoughts.

"No need to inquire how I spent my summer vacation," Trebek said during Monday's show. "Because so many people asked about it, I decided to regrow my mustache but as you can see, things got a little out of hand. These hairs kept attracting friends. Hopefully it won't be a distraction for our players."
