Spicer appeared in a flouncy neon green top and opened the number by slapping a pair of bongos so furiously that a judge later said he looked as though he was "being attacked by a swarm of wasps."

Overall, the performance was pretty embarrassing, and Spicer earned the second lowest score of the night. (Lamar Odom received the lowest score, but in his defense he was much taller than his partner and that made things difficult.) Though much of America was not here for Spicer's antics, he did have a few loyal political supporters on his side. Trump's former chief of staff, Reince Priebus, attended the taping as Spicer's guest and tweeted that he had a "fantastic time" cheering him on.

And former governor Mike Huckabee also tweeted about Spicer's performance (using a Napolean DynamiteGIF) and urged Americans to vote for him to "create an emotional meltdown in Hollyweird." After receiving his low scores, Spicer quote-tweeted Huckabee's message and said, "Clearly the judges aren't going to be with me. Let's send a message to #Hollywood that those of us who stand for #Christ won't be discounted."
Yes, Spicer tried to invoke Jesus on Dancing with the Stars.

Spicer, sweetie. If you're a bad dancer God isn't just going to help you win this dancing competition. I don't think that's how religion works.
