Beyoncé herself took the reigns of this year's biggest issue of Vogue.

According to HuffPost's sources, she has not granted an interview for this issue -- there was no interview for her VogueSeptember 2015 cover, either -- and instead opted to pen the captions on photos of herself featured in the magazine.

Beyonce's complete control over much of the issue is exciting, not the least because of her history-making choice of cover photographer. According to HuffPost's report, she's selected 23-year-old photographer Tyler Mitchell to shoot her cover for the issue, marking the first time a Voguecover will be shot by a black photographer.

"The reason a 23-year-old black photographer is photographing Beyoncé for the cover of Vogueis because Beyoncé used her power and influence to get him that assignment," a source explained to HuffPost.

Mitchell's work has been featured in various magazines, and he most recently shot the cover of Teen Vogue. He's also worked with the Knowles family before: earlier this year, he captured photos of Solange's interdisciplinary performance piece.

It's safe to say that the countdown for the issue has officially begun on Beyhive Twitter.
